i'm lost. why are we splitting the field again with 12 cars and not with 20+ cars last week? it's not good for tripp, harley, kenneth, daniel, and dougZilla to be bounced back and forth. when you look at the points as being a whole, the slower cars with less turn out dont have a prayer as far as point go. tripp won b4 the faster class had even semied. none of the other jr crews i visited with can figure it out either. the slower cars wanted to run with the faster ones saturday but we were told it would mess up the points. how would it when britani and kenneth raced in the finals last week, fast vs. slower class. that was a points race 2. we haven't had a split class in a month and half or so. i can't figure it out.

Steve, I agree with you. It is good for the slower kiddos to be split up IF THE CAR COUNT WARRANTS IT. That was the agreement when they first started splitting the cars.
There either needs to be a magic number, say 5, that if there are that many 10.50 and slower cars then they'll split them up. If 4 or less we all run together. 5 cars will give you 1 more round and be the same rounds as the faster cars up to 8 cars. Either that or just give up the splitting of cars and lets all run together.
Its the slower kids that benefit from splitting up cars, but if the car count isnt there, its not fair for them either cuz they get gipped on points.

I talked with Hank, he said he never said that not splitting them up would screw up the points, and he wasnt sure who gave the orders to split them up.

Y'all will need to talk to Darrell on whether or not the JR's will be split from here on out!! I will no longer make that decision, it will be up to him!!! No matter which decision I made it seemed to always piss someone off!!
Last week everyone b i t c h e d and moaned because we ran the JR's together and now this week everyone is b i t c h i n g because we separated them!! So it will no longer be up to me!!!!!!!

hey andy, it's gotta suck for you getting caught up in it. thats why they pay you the big $. ;D. i think that the confusion has been created from not being consistent on the split. i'm thinking along the lines of chris on car count. maybe we can have a pre-race meeting with everyone and come up with some common ground. i understand what you're saying though, d**ned if you do and d**ned if you don't. hopefully, we will have a bigger count than last saturday and it wont matter.

Steve, I will talk to Darrell and run the 5 car minimum by him, that way it will not be anyone's decision, it will be a rule.
We'll just have all the cars come to the lanes at one time and WE'LL sort thru them there.

Hey Chris!! You do that!! Talk to Darrell!! With everything that was going on last Saturday, I was unaware of how many JR's that we had in each class so after the comments made last weekend I made the decision to split them!! No one else did, just me!!
But I don't understand why anyone didn't say anything during the race!! If it was brought to my attention, it wouldn't of been split!! I agree, there needs to be a minimum car count before splitting it!! But you talk to Darrell and I am sure you can get your rule set and make it where there is no decision involved!!

Rodney was on the radio with "somebody" after Garvin Lee and Steve brought it up that there was only 3 10.50 and slower cars BEFORE 1st round started. His response was that we couldnt run the cars together cuz it'd "mess up the points".

I don't know if you noticed or not, but we at WRP seem to have a huge communication problem!! Sorry to seem so negative in my last post, but man I sure am getting tired of all of the ass chewing!! You know what I mean!! Oh yeah!! Splitting the classes up will not screw the points up so whoever he was talking to was giving him the wrong info!!

Nobody is chewing ass Andy.
I think when most racers ask "Why" ? they arent really griping. If the racers think something is wrong at the track, wouldnt you rather it be brought up so it can be fixed rather than just letting it go on week after week ??
The racers are the people that want the track to succeed, its in our interests, we love racing, thats why we come race in the 100+ degree weather week after week after week.
This whole post was just asking why were the classes split one week with 3 cars and not the week before with 6. Thats it, period, just a dicussion. Nothing personal aimed at ANYONE.
Out of this, hopefully, we can get something in concrete. Then this wont ever be an issue again. That is the whole point of asking "Why"
Do you know what I mean ??

i sure wasn't chewing ass. personally, i dont like the taste, but thats just me. but garvin and i did inquire before 1st round. we couldnt figure out how it was gonna mess up the points. the slower cars just wanted to able to go more rounds. it was a 20 point race for dougZilla and a 20 point race for tripp with him winning. andy, i think in my opinion, that you do a good job with the jr's. you and joe are the ones that seem to show interest in the class. you "talk" to my kids and make them feel like someone. elizabeth thinks that is soooo cool. we are all out there because we love drag racing. if we didn't, hell, i would rather lay naked in front of the air conditioner. picture that. anyways, questioning is not always b i t c h i n g. if nothing ever got questined, how would anything ever improve. now, back to the air conditioner. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, NICE!!!!!!!!!
