IHRA ROC winner goes to Virgina and race for 10K and a new dragster. And if you are track champ and have a X number Summit Racing give you a title money.
Mileage difference approximately 160 @ 8 miles a gallon only about $75.00 difference. Plus I go out early they have casinos in LA.

Ok. IHRA or NHRA. Now i think we learned last year that IHRA is not as friendly as some have said. Is NHRA mean? Ok so IHRA has a gamblers race Friday and that is a good thing, NHRA does not. IHRA has two bracket final champions, two race of champions winners.. NHRA has five champions ( super pro,pro,no/e,no/e street, and motorcycle), two race of champions winners, and a high school champion. IHRA champions are done after the IHRA bracket finals. NHRA Champions ( four of them) go to Pomona, get $3,500.00 when they arrive and they get a chance to run for a National title and $5,000.00 ( with only 7 cars in each class). NHRA local "Wally" races have racers show up from out of town to race for the "Wally". Does not seem anyone travels for a IHRA plastic ironman.. Now it does not make a hill of beans to me if the track is IHRA/NHRA or nothing at all. I am going to race no matter what.. The bracket finals is only one race a year, Ennis is a lot closer ( ecspecially with the price of fuel) then Shreveport..How many cars from here even go to the bracket finals? ( 18-25?) Now what if hypothetically speaking, The NHRA bracket finals had a gamblers race Friday? maybe one time trial and get after it? Maybe they do not have the games but instead have a gamblers race? What if it was 1/8th mile and NOT 1/4? Then there would be no need to have to have a Hans device or the thick suit! So i am off my soapbox now.I know that is a lot of questions above but i am curious. any comments? Randy Really? ? hypothetically? Fact is they don't have any of this. And if the extra cost of going to Shreveport is the problem use all the money you save on your license and chassis cert. If you don't think the IHRA was as friendly as some have said you either weren't there or was blind to what all went on (look me up, i will be glad to fill you in) I noticed you didn't mention Jrs. did you realize we had a Jr. that won the ROC?

How many racers from WRP actually go to the bracket finals? How many jrs? If IhRA had as many cars as NHRA at the finals they could do all the special Olympic stuff. You do know NHRA has a national championship for jrs in Denver right? And like was stated above 4 classes from division 4 get a chance to win a national championship.
Well know that none of use are in this for the money but there has always been more prestige in winning a NHRA race versus a IHRA race.. I have a cousin that lives in north Carolina and although his local track is Ihra he says that iHRA is very shaky right now as the rumor is that it might change hands again or just go away. There would be a lot of independent tracks if that happened.

i think we were only 2 cars short of having a full team at crandall.i do not support nhra in any form since they started their money grab.ihra managment are courtious and helpfull when issues arise and they are fairly lienient.i will never spend another dime at ennis after conflicts with their personell at the bracket finals 3yrs ago.if wrp goes nhra my focus will be to run at ihra tracks to be able to go to their bracket finals{amarillo or possibly northstar}.if ihra sells why do you think that could be bad?sometimes change is refreshing.i am only 1.5 miles from wrp and will continue to support my local track but not as often if they go against the wishes of the majority ie:the poll. i only know where we have more fun at is at ihra races and that is what it is about for us, family and fun not the prestige of the allmighty wally.life is too short to go where you do not feel welcome and nhra gives me that feeling.

So how many actual Wichita cars were at the Ihra bracket finals? Not talking about racers that do not race at wichita every time they bracket race. Makes no difference to me, we are talking about one race a year.

How many years was the track NHRA? Why are most good tracks in the area NHRA ? What does it cost to enter the bracket finals in Ihra? It would not surprise me if more tracks went with no sanctioning.

Hey "Randy" you really know how to make friends and influence people huh . Sharon and I have been managing the track under both NHRA and IHRA sanctioning so if you really want to know give me a call and i will be glad to answer all your questions. But regardless how any of us feel i suppose that the future of the track (sanctioning) is now in Jeff's hands. "Bee" 940-704-9119
