I don't have much hope of ever getting this engine back. That opportunity was lost. Here is what I know so far. As stated, I found my shop had been broken into and this engine stolen. Nothing else was disturbed. They had to move stuff around to get engine out of the over head door. The things they moved were moved neatly, not just thrown aside. No finger prints could be had. I went back to a list of phone numbers of everyone that had contacted me about this engine. All text msgs and calls were looked at. Most all identified themselves in the text msgs and were verified. I got several text from 940 923 6544. They said they were coming from the Denton, Tx. area. This number came back to a Christina Byrd in Vernon, Tx. This same number was used on Craigslist to sell a SB Motown block and jesel rockers. Her husband Brad uses this phone to sell parts on Craigslist. I did some asking around about him. Not one person had anything good to say about him. On Tuesday Mar 18th I got a tip that my engine could possibly be in his yellow Nova. I called police, an officer went to his shop without a description of the engine and didn't look in the yellow Nova, but just looked at an engine that was on the engine stand. Never looked in any cars. By the time I got their with pictures that evening, he was gone and they didn't go back to check his shop again. By the time they got his permission to go back in his shop on Wed, Mar 19th, there wasn't an engine in the Nova. I do think he still has or has had my engine. If he still has engine, he will be trying to get rid of it. If anyone has been contacted by him about a 565 Big Block Chevy, you can sent me a private msg on here, I have a facebook page,Stolen565 Engine or to stolen565engine@yahoo.com.
