I am a regular out at WRP and enjoy my time well spent at the track. I work out at Sheppard AFB and I am quite curious why there is no advertisement either at the base nor in the public community? I have been in the Wichita Falls area since June of last year and have very rarely seen any spectators with the exception of the big races. NHRA is a family orientated spectator sport, I am willing to put something together for the base to get more people out to at least participate or watch. There are many people from the Sheppard AFB area that have no idea that WRP even exist, any body know why this is?

more advertising would be great! but,as a small business owner in wichita falls(Doman Collision Center), i can tell you advertising can make you and it can also break you! we have every high school(all sports), msu, bowling alleys, radio, t.v., 1/2 a dozen phone books, thrifty nickel, times record news, numerous fundraisers, movie, theaters, and all kinds of other deals that want your $. they say they only want a 'lil bit BUT you add it all up and it will send you to the poor house REALLY quick. it's a double edged sword. you can only advertise as much as budget allows. most advertisers are like coyotes, you feed 1 and soon you'll have the whole pack on ya. this is MY opinion. i'm not speaking for the track here. word of mouth is THE ABSOLUTE best advertisement. SOOOO bring your friends!!!! ;D
p.s. thanx for the plug WRP s. doman

I can understand that the cost is high. It is pretty easy to get stuff published in the base newspaper for free. I will get on that, maybe get a lil better showing. I think the general public should get more involved in legal racing and not on the street. I am from Miami Florida where street racing has killed so many and i have been stationed in Japan where street racing still thrives today, I am a firm believer to get people off the streets. I will do everything i can to get more people out from the base, thats the least i can do for WRP. Any other ideas as to how to get more people involved out at the track?

WRP don't advertise anywhere. ANd you will never see race results in the new. They just simply will not report it unless something bad is happening.

1) I have made several banners for Darrell that he has hung around town for big events. 2) The results and points are updated by Monday night on the website. Funny, "J" I dont see your name on either. 3) Good riddance.

I think there needs to be a translator button on message boards for folks like jraceman. What the heck was he trying to say?

I'm pretty sure Rich drives the Yellow S-10 that he hauls with a newer S-10 on a towbar. Correct me if I'm wrong.

yes i raced that mustang, I had super super traction issues that day. but he broke out and only beat me to the stripe by a car.. But yes i tow my yellow truck with my new one on a tow bar. Im the only dumbass, but try to tow a 2000lb trailer with the truck on it with a lowered truck, doesnt work very well. i just think its funny. i think its hilarious when people stare.. Everybody has fun with me about it though. anyways im workin on flyers for the base just to get the word out about WRP.

I agree with XO, I'm also stationed out at SAFB, I've been here for 1 1/2 yrs and we just found out about the track a few weeks ago. You can't really hear about a place through "word of mouth" if no one knows it exist.

I work at SAFB I have seen the advertisting on Base E-mail sent out my MWR offering discount admission to the races. One time last year there were free tickets at MWR I went to get a few and they were gone real quick. Try it again. I still use the military discount to watch every saturday
